Hair DIYs to Make Those Tresses Healthy Again

This is probably that time in quarantine where you’ve done a lot of different things like cooking
something new, learning how to draw or paint, developing reading habits, etc. but the lockdown
still hasn’t ended. In all that, one major thing that many people forgot is to take care of
themselves. So instead of going out to look for ingredients (please don’t go out. Follow the
lockdown protocol), let’s turn to that one place where everyone satiates their hunger pangs, the
kitchen. DIY masks and scrubs that can take care of your hair and skin can be prepared quickly
using simple elements from your kitchen.

    For dandruff and dry scalp
Take half a lemon and squeeze it in a bowl along with 3 tbsp of coconut oil in the bowl and mix
well. Apply the solution on the scalp along with the entire length of the hair strands and let it rest
for an hour and then shampoo your hair. Apply it once a week.

    For voluminous hair
Heat coconut oil and curry leaves in equal proportion (tbsp: number of leaves) until the oil turns
black and then allow it to cool down. Apply it on your scalp and leave it for 3-4 hours. This will
stimulate hair growth and thereby volume.

    For deep hair conditioning
For this, you will need some amla powder and bhringraj powder and some curd (You can use
the one that has been lying in your fridge for the past week. The old stale curd is good for the
hair). Mix amla and bhringraj with curd and make a paste. If the curd is too thick then you can
add water or milk to the mixture to get a consistency like a paste. Once the paste is ready, you
can simply apply it to your hair like a regular hair mask. Wash it off with a hydrating shampoo
like an aloe shampoo (wash it with a normal shampoo of you don’t have the aloe vera
    shampoo).
