Best Indoor Yoga Exercises To Improve Blood Circulation

Blood plays an extremely important role in our body since it circulates all the oxygen and all the other essential nutrients through the body while removing the waste from the cells. One of the reasons why people feel less energetic is the lack of blood pumping through the body quickly. An increased blood flow not only makes you feel more energetic but also increases physical and mental performance, and this makes Yoga the ideal tool for improving blood circulation through the body.

  1. Virabhadrasana- Warrior Pose
This pose stretches the muscles of your arms, neck, shoulder, groin, and legs that favour muscle contraction and relaxation. The pose lines up the joints of the spinal cord and neck, legs, and waist joints are curved in the opposite direction which regulates the blood circulation in those joints

  2. Salamba Sarvangasana- Shoulder Stand
It is a part of the Hatha yoga exercises where all the pressure is exerted on the neck, shoulders and the back of your head. Your body should remain straight from your shoulders to your feet. Your feet should be at and angle of 90 degrees from the floor which forces the blood from the lower half of the body towards the heart for oxygenation. This exercise supplies fresh oxygenated blood to the brain, neck, eyes, ears, and throat.

  3. Kapalbhati-
This is an exercise where you exhale at a fast rate and inhale with a jerk which helps maintain the blood flow in the body. This contracts and relaxes the muscles in your abdomen and diaphragm. When you exhale during this exercise, the blood is pushed from the abdomen towards the heart, and when you inhale, the blood from the legs flows in the abdomen and go to the heart when you exhale again. This constant cycle makes the blood more oxygenated and makes you feel fresher
