    According to a report published by McKinsey’s Global Fashion Index, the global fashion industry is valued at $3 trillion while the luxury clothing industry is estimated at $300 billion. One of the movies that introduced girls to the fashion industry is ‘Devil Wears Prada’. It is that movie which told us the who’s who of the industry and some of the big names. People wanted to learn more about the expensive high-end fashion brands clothing and accessories. We have compiled a list of the top 10 most expensive fashion brands in the world and split that into 2 parts.  Here is a list of the top 5 most expensive fashion brands

    1. Chanel
      Coco Chanel and the brand share an epic and legendary journey. Chanel recognised what the world needed and created clothes designs accordingly. The designs are relevant even today. Some of the must have’s from the brand are the revolutionary little black dress (LBD) and the one of its kind Chanel No.5 perfume (which we’ve heard in a lot of movies). The brand is valued at a whopping $7 billion

      It is probably the oldest fashion brand in the world and has been around for over a century. It was started by Thomas Burberry in 1856 in Basingstoke, England with the latest additions to the brand being Burberry London and Burberry Prorsum. The first thing that a fan of the brand can relate to Burberry is the signature checkered khaki and plaid jacket. The brand is estimated worth $3.4 billion

      First started in the 18th century, the brand initially produced label making leather harnesses, saddles, etc. and ventured into retail as Charles-Emile Hermes took charge. The brand is an epitome of class and sophistication and this is reflected in everything they make from bags, shoes, perfumes, apparel and even interiors for the homes. The brand has a revenue of $5 billion

      Started in 1913 by Mario Prada, Miuccia Prada is the current owner of the brand. The brand initially started making handbags, travel bags, and suitcases for the elite class Italians. However, when the current owner took over, she introduced men’s and women’s ready to wear luxury clothing. The company’s net worth is estimated at around $2.4 billion

      Started by Guccio Gucci in the 19th century, it is one of the most successful Italian brand known all over the world. They opened their first store in New York in 1956 and then expanded to the other cities of the US. Gussi is today the 38th most valued brand in the world with a brand value of $12.4 billion with sales close to $5 billion.
