How can this be I hear you ask? The answer is simple. Diets are actually one of the most common reasons people have such a difficult time trying to lose weight. Instead of following a diet, many nutritionists recommend following a program of eating delicious food that will satisfy their hunger, delight their taste buds and help them reach and maintain an optimum weight and health.

The world is inundated with fast food outlets, confusing advertising and misinformation, but armed with the correct information you can eat yummy food that will help you lose weight and keep you healthy.
In order to successfully lose weight, you need to undertake a diet that you can stick to for more than a week or two, one that includes delicious food and one you are happy with, and one that you can maintain for a lifetime.

Here are a few guidelines that will help you develop the Best Diet for you:

1.  Only eat food you enjoy.
This does not mean racing out and buying pizza and donuts, they will definitely not help you lose weight. But you also don't need to survive on a diet of bird seed and lettuce. Healthy food does not have to include food you hate. How about making your own pizza from healthy ingredients, or a juicy homemade hamburger or steak for lunch or dinner? Or what about a scrumptious serving of scrambled eggs with your favorite vegetables and a couple of slices of whole grain toast? I could go on and on with a long list of delicious foods. The point is you do not have to eat like a bird or eat tasteless food to be healthy and lose weight. Use your imagination, be creative and you will discover a huge variety of delicious food options.

2.  Don't go cold turkey.
You do not have to change every single one of your habits overnight. Take it slowly and gradually eliminate bed food choices from your diet while steadily introducing healthy food. You will be surprised just how quickly you start to feel better about yourself and how stress and anxiety will melt away. Start with the easiest one for you. How about just cutting down on a few sodas and replacing them with water?  One small step each week will make your transition simple and easy.

3.  Do not go hungry.

All too many people make the mistake of starving themselves in an effort to lose weight rapidly. The reality is you do not need to feel hunger in order to successfully lose weight. In fact the opposite is true. You must give your body enough (good) nourishment in order to see effective weight loss results.

Make sure to feed your body frequently throughout the day.  The tree main meals, breakfast, lunch and dinner are all very important but so are snacks in between.  Snacking on things like raw nuts and fresh fruits can truly keep you from experiencing any hunger throughout the day and help control any cravings that may emerge.
Remember that the best eating plan you can start today does NOT have to resemble a diet at all.  Tell your friends you had French toast for breakfast, chicken stir fry for lunch and a succulent steak with potatoes for dinner and they will be in awe at how you are losing weight and looking so good.
