Fighting Acne

Many adults often suffer from acne also. Females are more likely to suffer with ongoing acne than males. In some cases, this means acne can be hanging around even in your 30s and 40s.

Acne happens when the oil glands (pores) in the skin become blocked. Hormones make the oil glands produce more oil (sebum) and if the pores are blocked, a build-up occurs and you’ve got acne.

Acne is caused by poor hygiene

Make-up and moisturisers won't make acne worse

Stress doesn't contribute to acne.

Tips for controlling Acne:

·Drink plenty of water

You can help prevent acne by drinking at least 2 liters of water a day, this will keep you hydrated and assist you to overcome clogged up pores.

·Eat a Healthy diet

Eating vegetable and fruits will not only keep you healthy over-all but it will assist in maintaining healthy skin.


·Stress? Out!

The more you get stressed, the more your body will react to it. Relax, when you control stress, your body will produce more cortisol, which is helpful against acne.
